Ysgol Y Castell is now a UNICEF Rights Respecting Schools Award (RRSA) Bronze: Rights Committed School. Achieving the Bronze Award recognises our commitment to ensuring that children’s rights are at the heart of school life. To gain this award, pupils, staff, and the wider school community have worked together to learn about children’s rights and how they can be respected and promoted every day. The Rights Respecting Schools Award is not only about what children do; it also recognises the important role adults play in upholding and championing children’s rights. In a Rights Respecting School, children and adults work together to create a positive, respectful environment where every child is valued, heard, and supported to thrive.
